Refund policy
We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at contemporaryfarmerinc@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
For Happy Leaf LED lights purchased through the Deluxe or Basic Home Grower kit, below are their terms.
Returns (for LED lights)
We want our customers to be happy. If you are not happy, we accept returns within a 90-day window.
Warranty (for LED lights)
Happy Leaf LLC offers a 5-year replacement warranty from the date of purchase if the unit has a defect in material or workmanship. The unit must be operated within a temperature range of between 33 and 90 degrees. The unit must not be modified from its original condition. Happy Leaf, LLC is not responsible for any failure due to external causes such as acts of nature; physical damage, environmental conditions, vandalism, fire, power failure, power supply not provided by Happy Leaf, LLC, power surges or dips, animal or insect activity, or other causes beyond the control of Happy Leaf LLC. Labor costs for installation or re-installation, or other indirect costs are not covered. The warranty applies only to original purchaser. When a warranty claim is approved, Happy Leaf, LLC will pay for freight costs associated only with the affected products. Warranty claims should be submitted in writing and include the invoice and a description of the problem.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Not applicable for germination rates on seeds, seedlings, or compost teas.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Consulting and Home Growing Services
Please refer to the separate contract that will be provided at point of service.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
In the event that we are unable to complete your delivery or pick-up as promised, in lieu of selling out or a logistical issue, the terms of the above stated terms for refunds apply.
